Ludeck privacy policy
Ludeck keeps your game collection on your phone. Nothing about your games leaves the device unless you choose to share it, and there are no ads, analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
What stays on your device
Your games, trees, statuses, ratings, notes and settings are stored in a database on your phone. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
What leaves your device, and why
- Game search. When you search for a game, the search text is sent to our server, which looks it up in IGDB (a games database run by Twitch) and returns titles and cover art. Searches are not stored or linked to you.
- Links you share into Ludeck. When you share a link from another app (for example a YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, X or Reddit post), Ludeck asks that site for the post's title so it can recognise the game. That request goes directly from your phone to the site the link belongs to. Wikipedia may be asked for a game's summary in the same way.
- Cover images are downloaded from the sites that host them, which see an ordinary image request from your phone.
- Your account (optional). You can use Ludeck without an account. If you create one, with Google or with an email and password, we store your email address, the name and ID you choose, and anything you add to your profile (a short bio, an avatar style, the platforms you play on, and whether your profile is private). Your email is never shown to other people.
- Friends and sharing (optional). With an account you can follow people, accept or decline follow requests, and block or report someone. We store those connections. If you publish your orchard, we store the games you chose to publish (title, cover, status, rating and tree name); a public orchard can be seen by anyone with the link, and a private one only by people you accept.
- Activity, hypes and seeds (optional). If sharing activity is on, planting, finishing or rating a game is shared with the people who follow you. You can turn this off in Settings, then Account. Hypes you give, games you send to a friend, and the notifications about them are stored so the other person can see them.
- Purchases (optional). Ludeck Pro is sold through Google Play. Payment is handled by Google; we never see your card. RevenueCat, our purchase provider, receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history so your Pro access works and can be restored.
Who processes this data
Supabase (our server and database), Google (sign-in and Google Play billing), RevenueCat (purchase records) and IGDB/Twitch (game search). They process data only to provide those services. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Security
Everything that leaves your device is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Deleting your data
- Make your orchard private in the app to take it offline at once.
- Delete your account in the app (Settings, then Account, then Delete account), or email us at the address below. Deleting the account removes your profile, published games, follows, activity, hypes, seeds and notifications from our server.
- Purchase records kept by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained as required for billing and tax law.
Children
Ludeck is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
